Historic
Glória and Santa Teresa districts in
the south zone of Rio offer you the opportunity
to turn off from the symptoms of this mad materialistic
world by experiencing up to 200 steps at the
Apart Hostel "Stairway to Heaven".
The view is just breathtaking and you can have
the full privacy of your own ledgeso as to have
a natural open shower baptizing yourself under
one of Rio de Janeiro´s most marvelous
views: Guanabara Bay´s sun or stars. All
apartments/villas are equipped with fridge,
microwave, sofa, table, private bathrooms, hammocks
and air conditioning. |
Apart
Hostel Stairway to Heaven 69 is part of our Cultural
Center Baixo Santa do Alto Glória
(www.baixosantadoaltogloria.com.br)
which is an official MinC (Brazilian Ministry of Culture)
Ponto de Cultura (Culture Point) which is unique for
any tourist visiting in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil.
This is because aside from enjoying all the marvels
the city of Rio has to offer, you will benefit from
watching the Capoeira, theater and sculpture classes
the center has to offer, we can even enroll you to
participate if you wish. The center also offers a
cool nightclub/bar where parties are held for the
beautiful people of Rio de Janeiro allowing you to
meet interesting people. All kinds of sounds are played
at the 5000 square feet (aproximately 500 square meters)
double lounge from international to local rythms that
will allow you to enjoy your time even more.
You
will have access to the internet at our exclusive
cyber and also be able to make international calls
whenever needed. Stairway to Heaven 69 is a new concept
in hostels since it offers you exquisite character
and design in its villas and the privacy you want
and cannot find in the other hostels around the city
under very affordable rates. Please book
in advance so as to guarantee the best option for
your needs.
Apart
Hostel Stairway to Heaven 69 presently consists of
6 different apartments which can
be rented out individually as follows:
*If
you wish to have a network TV in your room, that´s
also available. We also have a terrace with swimming
pool, fuzzball table and sauna and have your favorite
drinks served!
A
– The Pink Penthouse 200 Villa/Apt
with its own exclusive private ledge with shower head
and barbecue grill; Has a big living room and bedroom
with a nice kitchen and bathroom. Hosts up to 3 people
in bedroom and 3 people in living room. Windows and
big terrace overlook full view of beautiful Guanabara
Bay.
B
– The Sand 150 kitchenette;
A one room, kitchen and bathroom apt with air conditioning
and window to the forest. Small but cosy, hosts up
to two people. Up 10 steps you have a beautiful ledge
with shower head and barbecue grill for your pleasure.
C
– The 151 Yellow Villa Apt;
A nice one room, kitchen, living room and bathroom
apt with windows to beautiful Guanabara Bay. Charming
hosts up two people in bedroom. Living room could
host another person. Upstairs you have a beautiful
ledge with shower head and barbecue grill for your
pleasure.
D
– The 140 Blue Villa Apt with
its own exclusive huge ledge, shower head and barbecue
grill; Has a good sized kitchen, big living room and
a bedroom with a big bathroom. Hosts 2 people in bedroom
and another 2 or 3 in living room. Windows and terrace
overlook beautiful Guanabara Bay.
E
– The 130 Light Green Villa Apt with
exclusive ledge, shower head and barbecue grill; Has
a good sized kitchen, big living room and a bedroom
with a bathroom. Hosts 2 people in bedroom, 2 people
in living room.Windows and terrace overlook beautiful
Guanabara Bay.
F
– The 120 Terracotta Apt;
Has a good sized kitchen, living room, a good
sized bedroom and a good sized bathroom. Hosts up
to 3 people in bedroom. Has a small varanda overlooking
Guanabara Bay.
Don´t
forget to visit Baixo Santa do Alto Glória
Cultural Center where you will be able to enjoy exclusive
Capoeira, Jongo Dance and even have exclusive lessons
if you wish. The IDB in Washington and the
Ministry of Culture of Brazil have both awarded
our NGO with prizes for the innovative social and
urban innovation our project has brought to the community
it is located in.
And
after that you can enjoy a nice meal or drink at the
Bar do Baixo one of the nicest bars around town where
great musicians play, check out the shows, events
and happy hours.
Please check the agenda
of events at the hostel since the bar only opens whenever
there are events happening.
